The District, Decided.
WFT! Edit was born out of a simple frustration: it shouldn’t be a full-time job to find a decent coffee or a weekend plan in your own area.
Founded by Erin Nicholson, the Edit is the result of eight years spent living in the Wakefield district and fifteen years in Yorkshire. Like many people who’ve moved here, Erin found herself constantly deep diving into search engines just to find a good stay-and-play or a date night restaurant. Too often, the best local events were only heard about after they’d already happened.
We decided it was time for a change.
Backed by a network of friends living across every corner of the district, we created WFT! Edit to be the one cohesive home for everything worth your time in Wakefield and the Five Towns.
Why we’re here
The district is changing fast. With new developments, new people moving in from outside the district, and brilliant independent spots opening up every month, there is more to discover than ever before. Whether you have lived here for decades or you’ve just unpacked your first box, we are here to help you navigate it.
